The Spartan Assault Tank, sometimes referred to as the Land Raider Spartan, is a heavy-assault transport that was originally used by the Space Marine Legions during the Great Crusade and Horus Heresy, and later by the Chapters of the Adeptus Astartes that still possess them in their armoury.

Land Raider Phobos Rules Hi all- I'm list building and I see Legion Breacher Squad can take a LR Phobos as a dedicated transport. But I can't find rules for the Phobos anywhere to be able to evaluate that option. I have the Legiones Astartes AOD Army List and Legions books, as well as the core rules. Am I going crazy?

I really can't imagine what to do with this iconic land raider variant. While its weapons have longer range than the other two non-FW varinats the transport capacity of only 10 models, means that you cannot put an IC with any squad in TDA and Assault/Tactical Terminators are the only units that c.

The Landraider Proteus is listed as the Landraider Proteus Explorator it seems. Now, my main question is the Landraider Armored Proteus. Is this just an alternate model for the Proteus Explorator? Or should I expect this model in the PDF? It seems wierd that they offer the model still but it's not listed on its own. Any insight is appreciated! 3 3

Legion Land Raider Phobos The 40K Land Raider has a certain charm- and that charm is an Assault Ramp. When you want to viciously charge out of a normal-sized Land Raider, neither the Heresy Proteus or the Spartan will do the job. Enter the humble Phobos.

The stock 40K Land Raider is a Mars Pattern Phobos. It has two twin linked lascannons and a twin linked heavy bolter in the hull. It has an assault ramp so embarked units can charge after assault. The other variant on the Land Raider is the Proteus, with two twin linked lascannons and no assault ramp.

The Standard Land Raider (with 2 TL Lascannons and Heavy Bolter) is the LR Phobos; which is totally fine to use in 30k. Its even mentioned in the land raider entries. The only ones you aren't allowed to use are the Crusader, Redeemer and the others such as the Hyperios, iirc.

The Mark IIb Land Raider Phobos is the only pattern of the standard Land Raider Phobos that uses the older armoured sponsons, as they do not allow the weapons they hold to fully rotate. This pattern of Land Raider is mostly extinct within Space Marine Armouries, having been replaced with newer marks and patterns of the standard Land Raider Phobos.
